Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient practice rooted in the science of Chinese medicine that promotes healing by restoring overall energy balance. It involves inserting very thin, sterile needles into the skin at strategic points on the body. The beauty of acupuncture is that it allows you to potentiate optimal wellness without medication or medical procedures.

Moxibustion

Moxibustion is a centuries old modality in Traditional Chinese Medicine which involves burning dried mugwort leaves on specific acupuncture points. The goal is to balance the body with heat stimulation that targets physiological functions and internal organs.

cupping

Cupping therapy is a treatment modality of Traditional Chinese Medicine and one of the oldest therapies practiced, dating back to more than 5,500 years ago. Traditionally a flame is used to create a vacuum inside a glass cup that makes it suction onto the body. It is typically used on areas of stagnation to bring new blood to the affected area so that the body will heal quicker.

Plum Blossom Needle

The plum blossom needle is a type of ancient acupuncture developed on the basis of needle tapping. It is aimed to regulate the functions of the meridians and facilitate the recovery of the body. The method uses taps on the skin without hurting the muscles, in order to clear the meridians, regulate the internal organs, and prevent and heal diseases. It leaves a red halo which resembles a plum blossom, which is where it derived its name.

The traditional Asian 4 exams are:

  • Observation (Looking) – Complexion & Tongue
  • Auscultation & Olfactory (Listening & Smelling)
  • Palpation (Pulse & Abdominal)
  • Investigation (Asking a Series of Questions)
    • Record Submission i.e. Lab Results, CT, X-Ray, MRI, Thermography

Once the syndrome is classified, one or more Treatment Protocols will be recommended.

First, through the art of Observation, we take in your complexion, understanding the subtle cues it provides. We listen not only with our ears but with the heart, employing Tongue Auscultation & Olfactory techniques, much like a symphony conductor discerning every note. Palpation allows us to feel the rhythm of your body, from the pulse and abdomen. Finally, we engage in a dialogue with you through thoughtful investigation, asking questions that lead to a deeper understanding.

And just like the final chapter in a good book, the Record Submission ties it all together. Your lab results, CT scans, X-rays, MRIs, and even thermography images become part of the story, aiding us in crafting a personalized path to wellness.

In Asia this is the primary medicine practiced for over 6 millennia (thousand years). Currently Floridians enjoy this as Primary Healthcare by state law, so consider all of our physicians your family physician.
